SUMMARY:Johnson County Sheriff's Posse PRCA Rodeo
DESCRIPTION:64th Annual Johnson County Sheriff's Posse PRCA Rodeo Plans Finalized\n\n \n\nCleburne\, Texas - The Johnson County Sheriff's Posse Rodeo Committee has finalized plans for the 64th annual Professional Rodeo Cowboy's Association Rodeo to be held at the Sheriff's Posse facility June 06-09\, with performances starting each night at 8:00 P.M. Sponsored by many dedicated local business partners\, this year's production is anticipated to be very exciting. \n\n \n\nThe Rocky Mountain Rodeo Company and Will Cook will return to Cleburne with their award winning bucking stock and reputation for producing outstanding rodeos\, and Barrel Man and Rodeo Clown Cameron Keeton will be there to keep everyone laughing. \n\n \n\nWe would like to thank everyone for your support of our 2017 PRCA rodeo last June. This event is our main funding event for the year\, and is what enables us to continue to support area youth and benefit activities. In 2017 we were able to donate in excess of $30\,000 (cash\, scholarships and facility use) back to area youth groups and charity efforts. It is our goal to continue to provide our community and surrounding area with a quality\, low cost\, family oriented event that residents can look forward to attending year after year. \n\n \n\nTo kick off this year's rodeo week\, the HEB Mutton Bustin' preliminary competition will start at 09:00 P.M. Saturday\, June 02\, 2018\, with the top 20 contestants being invited to compete for the HEB Mutton Bustin' Championship in the Friday and Saturday night rodeo performances. A stick horse rodeo will immediately follow the Saturday Mutton Bustin' preliminary competition. \n\n \n\nOnce again the Sheriff's Posse will produce a County Team roping on The Saturday preceding the Rodeo (June 02\, 2018). The top eight teams will be invited to participate in the final go round to be held during each rodeo performance. For more information contact James Roller at 817-659-9245.\n\n \n\nEach night residents are invited to bring their horses and participate in the Rodeo Grand Entry to kick off the performance. Participants will be required to be in appropriate western attire\, no doubles and Negative Coggin's is required for all horses. \n\n \n\nThis year our Wednesday night performance is dedicated to all of our military and area first responders. Thursday night's performance has once again been dedicated as "God and Country Night"\, and thanks to Pastor Russ Weaver and the Shepherd's Valley Cowboy Church in Egan. \n\n \n\nBack by popular demand will be the Girls Steer Scramble Event. During each performance all girls over the age of eighteen will be invited into the arena to compete for bragging rights and a monetary prize! \n\nFor the past 64 years the members of the Johnson County Sheriff's Posse have brought one of the finest outdoor professional rodeos in the United States to the residents of Johnson and surrounding counties. Come on out to our facility just south of the Johnson County Courthouse on Highway 174 and enjoy an evening of great entertainment in a family oriented atmosphere. Our full service concession stand will be serving the legendary "Posse Burger"\, so bring the family and come hungry! \n\n \n\nFor information regarding the rodeo\, sponsorship packages or tickets please contact the JCSP at (817) 556-9910 or by mail at Johnson County Sheriff's Posse Headquarters\, P.O. Box 743\, Cleburne\, Texas 76031.\n\n \n\nSEE YOU AT THE RODEO!!!
