Cleburne Fall Reading Trail
The Cleburne Fall Reading Trail is a FREE, month-long community literacy adventure taking place throughout Cleburne from October 1–31, 2026!
Families are invited to travel through 16 participating local businesses and community organizations, where each location becomes a “chapter” in one connected storybook adventure.
Participants begin at Stop #1 — Dillon Depot Creamery & Antiques, where they can pick up their official Reading Trail Passport. From there, families travel through the stops at their own pace throughout October, discovering featured children’s books, completing fun activities, exploring local businesses and organizations, and collecting a passport stamp at each destination.
The trail is designed to make reading an experience that extends beyond the pages of a book—encouraging families to read together, explore their community, discover local businesses, and create memories along the way.
In addition to the 16 official stops, the 2026 Reading Trail includes three special event experiences throughout October, including a visit to the Liberty Chapel Volunteer Fire Department, a special weekend at the Chisholm Trail Outdoor Museum, and Coffee & Chapters: The Spooky Chapter.
There is no need to complete the trail in one day! Families have the entire month of October to visit participating locations during their regular business hours and complete the adventure at their own pace.

Fun for the Whole Family
The Cleburne Fall Reading Trail brings together literacy, family, local businesses, and community for one magical month of reading and exploration.
When you are finished at the last stop, pick up participation medals (limited supply), certificates, mini books, and more little goodies before you leave. One per child please. Must show completed passport to enter into grand prize drawing. Winner gets one book a month for a year starting January 2027.
