PACKAGING OPERATOR

6:00 AM - 3:00 PM
$19.00 - $20.00 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Prepare, inspect, test, fill, and tag compressed gas cylinders and ton containers.
- Clean and paint containers; replace and rebuild cylinder valves.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and tankers; connect and disconnect railcars.
- Manufacture bleach and analyze product samples to verify quality.
- Complete filling logs and plant reports accurately.
- Perform minor maintenance on equipment and piping; maintain a clean work area.
- Inspect containers and components according to Department of Transportation (DOT) standards.
- Attend safety training and serve on the Emergency Response Team.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to follow chemical handling, compressed gas filling, and plant safety procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude for valve repairs and minor equipment maintenance.
- Attention to detail when inspecting containers, testing samples, and recording production information.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work effectively with a team.
- Willingness to complete required safety training and participate in emergency response duties.
