FUNDRAISING & COMMUNITY OUTREACH COORDINATOR | DEPARTMENT - OFFICE
The Fundraising & Community Outreach Coordinator is a key role in the the Center for ASD
success. The position is responsible for planning, developing, organizing, and executing
fundraising and community-based events and relationships that support the mission of Center
for ASD. This role focuses on increasing revenue, strengthening community partnerships, and
expanding donor and sponsor relationships through creative event planning, outreach, and
engagement. The Coordinator will manage multiple events throughout the year, oversee
marketing and logistics, present and manage board of directors involvement, and actively
participate in community networking to meet and exceed fundraising goals.
JOB SUMMARY -
Develop, plan, and execute fundraising and community events, including small community
fundraisers, large annual fundraising events, and center-based family and participant events
Generate new and creative fundraising ideas to increase revenue and center engagement
Create event timelines, budgets, task lists, and post-event evaluations
Coordinate all event logistics including vendors, volunteers, staff support, materials, decorations,
raffles, and all scheduling of event timelines
Develop sponsorship packages as well monthly initiatives to cultivate relationships with
corporate sponsors, donors, and local community partners. Including grant opportunities.
Serve as a primary point of contact for guests, donors, sponsors, and community collaborators
Manage event marketing efforts alongside the Info Media Manager including flyers, social media
graphics, event main pages, magazines, email communications, and promotional materials
Track fundraising progress and ensure events meet or exceed projected revenue goals
Attend networking events, chamber resources, community meetings, and outreach opportunities
to represent Center for ASD in the public eye and for resource gathering
Delegate and manage tasks efficiently among staff and volunteers to ensure event execution
Maintain organized records of donors, sponsors, and event budget/raising outcomes
Utilize the use of basecamp and bloomerang for event tools and resources
Support overall development efforts and assist with additional fundraising initiatives as needed
Seek new opportunities and ideas for collaboration and partnered events
Aide program staff with donors and Family or Thrive sponsors and donations
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES -
QUALIFICATIONS -
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Proficiency in Canva, Microsoft Excel, Google Docs, and email platforms
SKILLS / COMPETENCIES -
Marketing and promotional design and themed conception
Time management, task delegation, Structure and timeline creation abilities
Attention to detail and organization with event planning and coordination
Strong written, verbal, and personal communication skills for building lasting relationships
Ingenuitive fundraising strategy and revenue generation and tracking
REPORTING STRUCTURE -
Reports To: Development Director
Indirect Reports: Program Staffing, Leadership Team, Contract Staffing, Office Staffing
Collaborates with volunteers, donors, and community partners. Works closely with
Directors, Info Media Manager, Thrive Coordinators, and Leadership Team
WORK EXPECTATIONS -
Maintain accurate documentation and timely follow-through on tasks
Actively contribute to the strategic plan, providing insight and recommendations to the
CEO and Board to advance organizational goals and efforts.
Meet or exceed established fundraising and revenue goals
Maintain a positive and professional representation of Center for ASD in the community
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic event-driven environment
Ensure all activities align with the organization’s mission, policies, and best practices.
With advance notice, evening/weekend availability required based on event needs
Expected office hours to be Monday - Friday 9AM - 5PM unless otherwise stated
Managing intentional long lasting relationships and donor relationships
Work well with other departments in being a resource and support for event related needs
Follow through with vendor, board, or sponsor/donor organization, communication, needs,
scheduling, payments, and all other tasks as needed or assigned
Base Salary -
Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and performance

Previous experience in fundraising, event planning, or nonprofit development preferred
Strong organizational and management skills with the ability to manage events simultaneously
Ability to create, maintain, and manage budgets as well track fundraising performance
Self-motivated, creative, and goal-oriented with a focus on revenue and relationship growth
Comfortable attending and speaking at community, board, and networking events
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by events
