DESCRIPTION:HAT TRICKS\, by Dori Appel\n\nDirected by Rebecca Strange\n\nSeptember 11-19\, 2021\n\nHat Tricks is an exciting compilation of six scenes and three monologues covering a range of women's experiences in the second half of life. These nine pieces range from the purely comedic to those that combine humor with thoughtful and sometimes poignant explorations. This is a richly varied collection featuring a single intriguing commonality: Every scene or monologue includes the presence and compelling use of a HAT!\n\nHAT TRICKS was a finalist for the 2008 Oregon Book Awards and Angus Bowmer Award in Drama\n\n \n\nCAST\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCINDY PARKS\n\nCindy Parks loves theatre. She has been with LWA since the beginning. Cindy has directed and acted in may shows here. Favorite rolls include Sally in DAVID'S MOTHER\, Dolly Levi in THE MATCHMAKER\, Jessie May in TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL\, Suzy in WAIT UNTIL DARK\, and Annie Sullivan in THE MIRACLE WORKER. Credits as a Director: GREASE\, THE DIVINERS\, THE ALTO PART\, MOON OVER BUFFALO\, GREATER TUNA\, and many more. Cindy would like to thank Rebecca and the cast for making this such a great experience.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSTACEY GREENAWALT\n\nStacey has been active in the DFW theatre community for many years as actor\, director\, costumer\, prop designer\, scenic painter\, and set designer\, and has been nominated for two Column Awards. Favorite roles include Lotty Wilton in ENCHANTED APRIL\, Miss Hannigan in ANNIE THE MUSICAL\, Ronnette in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS\, and both Yente and Fruma-Sarah in two different productions of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. Most recently\, Stacey directed and appeared in Lake Whitney Arts' 2021 TWO WITCHES\, NO WAITING.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nKELLY ROBSON\n\nThis play is another of many Kelly has been involved with at Lake Whitney Arts in the past four years. Her theatrical training is accredited to many directors from high school to college to present including a privileged workshop with George Takei. Life is busy on her little hobby farm but she always make time for LWA therapy.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDONNA BOOTH\n\nDonna has been involved in Lake Whitney arts since its inception. She has been in many plays and music productions. Thank you all for continuing to support this small community theatre. Come and join us if possible! You don't have to be artistic\, just enthusiastic.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAMBERLY HADLEY\n\nAmberly is excited to be taking the stage again in this wonderful play of Hat Tricks. Amberly would like to thank the director Rebecca Strange for the opportunity and to both Rebecca and Cindy for helping her in these roles. She would like to thank everyone involved with this show and has greatly enjoyed working with this wonderful and talented cast of women. She is excited to again entertain the audience. Amberly is currently a member-at-large for the Lake Whitney Arts Board of Directors and has appeared in many stage performances with the LWA theater. She is married to Jeff Hadley and they currently reside in Whitney and enjoys the theater\, fishing and her friends within the theater. She hopes you enjoy the show.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nANGELA MONTGOMERY\n\nAngela has happily been involved with LWA for over 15 years and has been performing since childhood. Some of her favorite shows include ALWAYS\, PATSY CLINE\, GODSPELL\, and NUNSENSE.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBECCA BILZ DAVIS\n\nIn her real life\, Becca works as an elementary school counselor in China Spring and an adjunct professor at Hill College. She likes to quilt\, play soccer\, and work out with Camp Gladiator. In her spare time\, she is trying to learn the fiddle.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBAILEY FOLKESTAD\n\nBailey is making her acting debut with this show! Previously she has been sound tech for two plays here at Lake Whitney Arts: MAMA WON'T FLY and TWO WITCHES\, NO WAITING.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nREBECCA STRANGE - DIRECTOR\n\nRebecca Strange has been involved with theatre since college. She holds a BS in Speech and Drama from Howard Payne University. Rebecca is a member of Theta Alpha Phi and Pi Kappa Delta. She is a founding member of LWA and the Tin Building Theatre in Clifton. She has been involved in many productions\, directing\, building sets\, lighting and serving on the Board are some of her credits. Favorite shows include GODSPELL\, ALL I REALLY NEED TO KNOW\, I LEARNED IN KINDERGARTEN\, OUR TOWN\, THE MATCHMAKER\, and many more.
