Course Description
The Foundations of Faith Community Nursing course
is a nationally-endorsed curriculum from the Westberg
Institute for Faith Community Nursing.

The American Nurses Association recognizes faith
community nursing as a sub-specialty in nursing. Faith
community nursing holds the spiritual dimension as
central to its practice.
Texas Health Dallas - Texas Health Resources University
is an approved provider of continuing nursing education
by the Texas Nurses Association - Approver, an accredited
approver with distinction by the American Nurses
Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
41.16 contact hours will be provided upon successful
completion of this course.
Course Requirements
• Must have an active registered nurses license for the
state of Texas
• Should have specialized knowledge in the spiritual
beliefs and practices of the faith community
• Should reflect personal spiritual maturity in her/his
practice
• Should be organized, flexible, a self-starter and a
good communicator

Attendance on all 4 days is required for course completion.
