ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Assist in inspection and testing processes to confirm product characteristics align with customer specifications under the guidance of the QC Lab Technician.
- Aid Operations, Quality Assurance, and Product Development during large production runs, including sample organization, performance testing, and temperature checks on lab blends.
- Be available 1-2 weekends per month for ongoing lab and production support.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including PPE and safety checks.
- Support laboratory testing of raw materials, finished products, and production processes; prepare samples, maintain lab equipment, and ensure a clean workspace.
- Maintain adequate lab supplies and resources.
- Ensure accuracy in data reporting and uphold high standards of data integrity.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing or process control setting preferred.
- Familiarity with asphalt (roofing/paving) and process manufacturing (e.g., mixing, formulations) is desirable.
- Strong time management, multitasking abilities, mathematical proficiency, and basic computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Willingness to undertake training and development courses.
- Upon 9 weeks of training, independently perform key tests, including:
- Cleveland Open Cup Flashpoint
- Rotational Viscosity
- Penetration and Softening Point Tests
- Density and Specific Gravity
- True Grade/Original "ODSR" Testing
