5:00 am - 2:30 am
$18.00 per hour
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
 
  • Set up print and die cut sections following proper techniques.
  • Secure all bolts on cutting dies to ensure safe operation.
  • Inspect anilox rolls for any damage before and after each run.
  • Inspect and repair dies as needed prior to the next run.
  • Monitor the quality of boxes produced, including checking for issues like loose liners, warp, size discrepancies, and print quality.
  • Operate machinery at full capacity and maintain optimal speed.
  • Train and assist First Helpers and Bundlers in the operation process.
  • Cross-train on other machines and adapt duties as necessary.
  • Complete all required reports (Production, Safety, Quality) accurately and on time.
  • Submit maintenance work orders and proactively maintain equipment to ensure efficiency.
  • Follow the production schedule closely and recommend improvements for operational efficiency.
  • Communicate any scheduling issues to the Supervisor.
  • Adhere to company policies, follow all safety guidelines, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous work experience in the corrugated industry is preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Press Department First Helper.
  • At least 6 months of experience in both the Press and Finishing Departments.
  • Ability to read a tape measure quickly and accurately.
  • Strong math skills, including the ability to calculate figures like percentages, measurements, volumes, and rates.
  • Knowledge of equipment design and capabilities that can be applied to efficient operation, including understanding product layouts and production specifications.
  • Physical requirements include frequent use of hands and arms, as well as the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
